Staycation or Studycation? The Return of The English Language Immersion Course

Pre Covid English Immersion Courses in The New Forest National Park

Prior to the first lockdown back in March 2020, we were able to offer our clients the full English language immersion course in the beautiful New Forest National Park!

Clients came from abroad, stayed with our lovely hosts or in a local hotel and soaked up the language and culture of the UK.  Weekdays were spent with one of our professional tutors.  English coaching in the morning followed by lunch in one of the fine eateries in the forest. After lunch, afternoons were spent either with further language study, visiting local businesses or enjoying the local area.  Evenings were spent with the client’s hosts and more English practice over dinner, strolls in the forest, cycling along the shore and trips to the local pub (adults only!).

Alongside our overseas clients, we also worked with clients who had relocated to the UK from abroad. Working or studying in an English-speaking environment sometimes required a quick intensive refresher course to brush up presenting skills on an important speech,  an intensive revision course for an exam or just for general language practice to become familiar with the ins and outs of living in the UK!  In this case they had they best of both – a staycation combined with fine tuning their English language skills…and a shorter trip home!

Emerging from Lockdown – Arriving as Guests and Leaving as Friends

Then March 2020 arrived and with it the demise of the immersion course for the present – online lessons arrived in their place.

As we are slowly coming out of lockdown measures in England, even though one to one online lessons have become the norm for most language learners, let’s not forget the benefits of immersing ourselves in the target language! I do miss the days of welcoming our clients to The New Forest – they arrived as guests and always left as life long friends!

With that in mind, I thought I would show you some of the beautiful places  we have shared with our clients, others you have to be here to show you!

The Arrival of The Studycation

For those of you UK based who need a little bit of help with your English, do get in touch if you fancy a study staycation or should that be a studycation?

For those of you not able to visit us here in the forest yet  – see you online soon! Or why not try  the perfect combo of online sessions at present and face to face immersion  as soon as we can in the future …..we create bespoke language learning experiences so anything is possible!
